Chase the Flush

Both players and the dealer are each dealt three cards. These are combined with four shared community cards to create the longest possible flush using seven cards. If multiple hands have the same number of flush cards, ties are broken by comparing the highest card, with Aces ranked highest and 2 is the lowest.

How to play

  1. Players must make an Ante and X-Tra bonus wager to begin the game. Both bets must be of equal value. Players can also bet on the optional Same Suit wager which wins if the player has a four-card flush or higher. The player doesn’t have to win the hand to win the Same Suit bonus as it pays out if the player has four or more cards of the same suit.
  2. Three whole cards are dealt to each player where they can either Check or bet three times their Ante on the All-in bet or prior to the flop.
  3. After the two-card flop, if a player hasn’t already made an All-in bet they can Check or bet two times their Ante on the All-in bet.
  4. After the Turn and River cards, players who haven’t made an All-in bet must bet one time their Ante or Fold. If the player chooses to fold, the Ante and X-Tra bonus wagers will be lost.
  5. The hands of the player and the dealer are compared, with the higher hand declared the winner. For the dealer to qualify, they must have at least a nine-high three-card flush. If the dealer does not qualify, all remaining Ante bets are pushed. To determine the winning hand, the longest flush takes precedence. If there is a tie in the number of cards in the flush, the individual card values are then compared to identify the winner.

Scoring

All Ante and All-in bets are paid 1 to 1.

Basic Strategy

As strategy indicates, you should bet three times your Ante on the All-in bet before the flop if your three dealt hole cards are all of the same suit or if you have any suited Ace or King and check on anything else.

After the flop, you should bet two times your Ante on the All-in bet if you have a three card flush or better, or if you have two card flush draws using hole cards that include jacks or higher. It’s suggested that you check on everything else.

For the final round of betting after the River, it’s suggested that you bet one times your Ante on the All In bet if you have a four or more card flush or a higher three card flush unless there are two higher suited community cards. It’s suggested to fold for any other hands.

Chase the Flush Terminology

Ante: The initial bet placed by the player before any cards are dealt. This is a required wager to participate in the round.

Check: Choosing not to make a play bet at a given opportunity, while retaining the option to bet later in the round.

Community Cards: Five cards dealt face up in the center of the table. All players use these cards in combination with their pocket cards to make the best five-card poker hand.

Flop: The first three community cards dealt simultaneously after the initial betting round.

Fold: Surrendering your hand and forfeiting your ante and blind bets, ending your participation in the current round.

Hole Cards (also called pocket cards): The two private cards dealt face down to each player at the start of the round.

River: The fifth and final community card dealt after the Turn.

Turn: The fourth community card dealt after the Flop.
