GAMESENSE AWARENESS WEEK 2025

GameSense Awareness Week

June 2 - June 8, 2025

GameSense Awareness Week (GSAW) is an annual event that is promoted throughout Alberta’s gaming venues. It showcases several initiatives and resources to educate both players and gaming staff about the realities of gambling, including the odds and randomness of different games, as well as the myths and facts about the actual costs of play. It also highlights the problem gambling resources and self-help tools that are available for individuals and families.

What does GameSense encourage players to do to gamble responsibly?

What is GameSense?

GameSense is Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis' (AGLC's) responsible gambling program. It’s a program designed for players – making responsible gambling tools and information  available to help them make informed choices.

In Alberta, we all have a role to play in being socially responsible. For AGLC, this means identifying industry policies, regulations and best practices to develop information and programs that help players gamble responsibly.
