GSAW Contest 2026 Terms and Conditions

Contest Details

To enter

  • VLT Staff members should participate by scanning a QR code displayed on the iLink network.
  • Upon scanning the QR code, players will be directed to a Microsoft Form where they will answer specific questions related to responsible gambling.
  • Participants will submit their answers along with their contact information to enter the contest.

Selection of Winners

  • 1 winner will be selected from all of the VLT staff entries.
  • Winner will be chosen randomly from the pool of participants who answer the question correctly.
  • Entries are only valid during the contest period.
  • All entries have an equal chance of winning each draw. Duplicate entries will be removed. Chances of winning are dependent on how many entries are received into the contest.
  • AGLC to be the executor of the official prize draw. The prize winner will be randomly drawn from all entries. The draws will take place at approximately 10:00 a.m. MST on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the AGLC Office in St. Albert, Alberta.
  • AGLC will contact the prize winner via their contact information provided on the form. If for any reason it is not possible within a seventy-two (72) hour period for the prize winner to reply to us, despite customary efforts, AGLC reserves the right to disqualify that entry and randomly select another entry as a prize winner.
  • If a prize winner does not claim the prize within 7 days after being notified, AGLC reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner.

Contest Timeline

This contest runs from 10:00 a.m. on Monday May 25, 2026, to 11:59p.m. on Sunday June 7, 2026, Mountain Standard Time (MST). 

Terms and Conditions

  1. The contest is open to all VLT staff members, aged 18 and above.
  2. Participants must answer the question correctly and provide valid contact information to be eligible for the prize draw.
  3. The winner will be selected randomly from the pool of eligible entries. The draw's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
  4. Participants are expected to engage in the contest honestly and responsibly. Any attempt to manipulate the contest results will lead to immediate disqualification.
  5. In the event of any disputes, the AGLC decision is final and binding.
  6. Participation in the contest constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  7. If, for any reason and in the opinion of AGLC, in its sole discretion, the contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond its control, AGLC reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest including any method of entry without notice
  8. AGLC will not be responsible for or accept any liability resulting from entries that are delayed, lost, stolen, or misdirected for any reason during their delivery to AGLC whether by, but not limited to, e-mail, cellular phone network or other on-line and digital medium.
  9. All decisions by AGLC with respect to all aspects of this contest are final. In these contest rules, words importing singular include the plural and vice versa. These contest rules shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.
  10. The personal information collected as part of this Contest is collected under the authority of Section 4 (c) of the Alberta Protection of Privacy Act (POPA). It will be used for the purpose of administration of this contest only. Automated systems may be used for internal analytics and support.
