There is hope for help
When gambling is no longer right for you
If you find yourself gambling too much, or if it no longer feels like a game, the Self-Exclusion Program can be an important first step in helping you manage your gambling.
By enrolling in the program, you can choose to self-exclude from Alberta's:
- Casinos and racing entertainment centres
- Regulated iGaming platforms
- Casinos and racing entertainment centres and regulated iGaming platforms
Research has shown that when self-exclusion is combined with professional support, it can be one of the most effective ways to stop gambling.
Participants registered in the Self-Exclusion Program will be ineligible from receiving a prize in a gaming facility. (Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Regulation s.34.5)
The length of the exclusion is up to you. Choose from:
• Six months
• One year
• Two years
• Three years
You can move forward
You have to make the decision for yourself. Even if your loved ones want to help, only you can sign yourself up for the Self-Exclusion Program. Begin by signing up for a period of exclusion that makes sense for you.
